Cinsel İstismar Suçu

The author serves as volunteer legal adviser to NEWSPDR, a group working to prevent child abuse and providing free training and counselling to university students and to anyone interested. Within this framework it was decided to prepare a book conveying both the legal and the psychological knowledge needed to prevent child abuse; in it, the author examined the offence of sexual abuse of a child under the Turkish Criminal Code.

Since the book addresses ordinary citizens and university students rather than lawyers, the chapter was written in language simplified as far as possible while still offering legal analysis. The subject is treated under the classical structure of headings, discussing the basic and the aggravated forms of the offence; judicial decisions are also included.
